Employees Propel Tallgrass Energy to Colorado’s 2016 Top Workplaces List

Company Release - 4/11/2016 9:00 AM ET

LAKEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tallgrass Energy Partners, LP (NYSE:TEP) announced today that it was named one of The Denver Post’s Top Workplaces for 2016. The Top Workplaces List is an annual award honoring the best companies to work for in Colorado.

“This recognition is particularly meaningful because it’s based solely on how our employees feel about working at Tallgrass,” said Tallgrass President and CEO David Dehaemers Jr. “It doesn’t get any better than that. We’ve built a culture of excellence and continual improvement at Tallgrass, and the fact that we moved up in the rankings from last year is a testament to the quality and strength of our people and their commitment to doing the right thing. I’m extremely proud of the Tallgrass team.”

Tallgrass employees ranked the company highest in the areas of Alignment, which measures employees’ belief that the company is moving in the right direction and operates consistent with strong values and ethics; Execution, which measures how well the company executes against objectives; and My Pay and Benefits.

The Top Workplaces are determined based on an employee survey conducted each year by WorkplaceDynamics, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.

“To be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health,” said WorkplaceDynamics CEO Doug Claffey. “And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day – the employees. Our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together. Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”
